The Ion Communications staff have been following the web's development for
several years, and have been designing pages for almost as long. Below
you will find links to sites that our staff have been involved with
along the way -- Some of these sites represent personal interests,
some are the results of volunteer efforts, and some are pages produced
professionally.
Clients
- Northeast Missouri Area Health
Education Center
The Northeast Missouri Area Health Education Center
recruits youth into health care professions, assists health students, and
educates the public about relevent health issues. The site provides
overviews of its programs, as well as names and email addresses on whom to
contact for more information.
- Patty's University
Bookstore
When Patty's University Bookstore decided to advertize and sell books over
the Internet, we found the most cost-effective solution: Collaboration
between Ion Communications' designs and the e-commerce services of a major
textbook distributor. Information about Patty's stores, their services, and
ordering online can be found in the consistent and elegant interface on the
main, Ion-designed site.
Our Pages
- Charged.net
Charged.net is Ion Communications' advertisement and
informational site. Since not everyone on the Internet is using the same
computer or the same web browser, we designed multiple flavors to take the
best advantage of each visitor's configuration. Although you were
automatically shown the most sophisticated page that your web browser can
handle, you may be interested in seeing all of Charged's incarnations in Dynamic HTML, frames, and plain HTML.
- The Beggar's Hand
Ion partner Jason Neuswanger collaborated with students
in Singapore and the Philippines to explore the nature of poverty -- poverty
around the world, its causes, and its effects. The team discusses current
efforts to eliminate poverty and proposes experiences and classroom lessons
that promote poverty awareness.
- Yahoo
No, not really. Just kidding.
- Kirksville Model United Nations Group
This high school organization promotes international
understanding through research and discussion at local, regional, and
national simulations of the United Nations. Ion partner Tim Otten compiled
information on the club's activities and cataloged web sites helpful to club
members.
